II. SIGNS, WONDERS, MIRACLES AND BLESSINGS FROM OCTOBER TO DECEMBER 2010
1/ My wife is a good one. She takes care of the family work when I go out for a mission. The last two months, she got a serious pain on her left knee so bad that she can’t sleep. She uses some medicine but in vain. I call the whole family to pray for her healing continously 3 days and praise the Lord, she now can sleep well because the pain is gone.
2/ My family has 10 chickens. We raise the chickens hoping they lay eggs and we can sell eggs for earning money. But suddenly the chicken flu spread to my village, many chickens of my neighbors died, but no one in my house died. We believe this is a miracle from God to protect our chikens. Haleluja!
3/ Brother Nguyen Van Tuy is 54 years old. He believes in Jesus just for 3 weeks, but God changes him a lot. He witness in front of the church that he was in Russia for 8 years and he was a drug addict and he said to the government official he can accept a sentence to death, but he cannot stop smoking. Now , by the power of the Holy Spirit, he stops smoking. The first 2 weeks , when he did not smoke, he vomitted painfully. On the third week, he feels better and better, no more smoking. He just received water baptism on October 9th. Haleluja! Praise the Lord!
4/ Ms Binh is one the sister in the church. Before conversion, she used to be abused by men in the society. They took her money and hurt her a lot. By the grace of God , she believes in the Lord Jesus and was redeemed from wicked men. Now she is living a very happy life in the house of God with a new life and a new love with a man who also loves God. Haleluja! This lady has a gift of writing poems. Before her conversion, she wrote a lot of poems to praise Hochiminh, a communist leader of Vietnam , but now she only write poems to praise and worship the Lord Jesus. She is so much blessed now because her only son, a university student just believed in Jesus December 2nd.
5/ Thank you God for the protection of sister Phuong. Without God she may have been in prison. She had a contract with a Rumanian company to send employees to work in Rumania , but the company broke the contracy because of the economic crises. She had to pay the compensation for the employees and the police intended to put her into prison. By the love and the protection of God, they allowed her to pay the compensation in 3 years. The amount of money reaches to one hundred million Dong. Now, in spite of difficulty, she is very faithful to the church service and cell group. Amen Thank God! This lady has a strong spirit of evangelism and God uses her to bring many people to the Kingdom of God . She used to be a director of one of the tourist agencies in Hanoi . I baptised her in Hanoi last March..
6/ Forty-five pastors and leaders of the church come together in Saigon and 26 pastors and church workers in Hanoi come together come to attend the Agape School of Ministry for training with subject “ Soul winning” . How to share the life-saving message of Christ is the main lessons they receive training. Thanks to the lessons, they can prepare for the harvest time in December on the occasion of Christmas seasons. My pastors and my people are very excited to learn and to practise when they go back their home town and more more more people have a chance to hear the gospel of Jesus.
7/ December is the busiest month of the year, but it is also the most blessed one of the year. I have to fly to Hanoi two times for a mission and for evangelsitic meetings. The first trip, God gave me a chance to make friends with two men who are high educated and have a high posision in the society. Mr Le Dai Tam is a general director of Hot Spring Resort in Ninh Binh Province , about 100 kilometers far from Hanoi and Mr Tran van Trong, a dean of foreign language college. I had talked with them a lot about the salvation of the Lord Jesus. They are open to hear my sharing and ask me a lot of questions. They are communist members. On the second trip, I invited them to attend the CEM organised in Hanoi on December 29th , but they still hesitate to believe in Jesus, but on 31st CEM organised in Ninh Binh Resort , Mr Tam received Jesus as his saviour fifteen minutes before New Year’s Eve. Haleluja! Together with him, five of his staffs also prayed for conversion. I conducted them to pray in the open air surrounding with river, spring and mountains. How wonderful and magnificient and marvelous the scenery is!
8/ In December, I have a chance to conduct two wedding services. One for a Vietnamese couple and one for a Nigerian man and a Vietnamese girl. Usually in Vietnam , we use the wedding for evangelism. There are about three hundred non-Christian guesses hearing the message of God about His love. I share with confidence and challenge friends of the bride and the groom come to the Lord Jesus as His children to attend the Wedding of the Lamb in heaven with the bride and the groom, their friends if they actually love them.
Halelujá Praise the Lord for the abundant provision especially for the mission fields and crusade in December. All local churches and people are blessed physically and spiritually. We have love gifts for them even for the local authorities when they come to attend the church services with us on Christmas meetings. We help them finance for food on Christmas and transportation to the city for a big crusade on Dec 26th. God knows our need and He uses servants of God who love Him and love us to support need on time. Haleluja! Thank God and thank you so much!
9/ The Jacson’s family is the Christian family with six members: father, mother and the four children. They come from America and their ministry is to travel around the world to sing Christian songs to praise and worship God and share about the love of God in the songs they sing. They focus on the happiness of the family blessed by God. Last year they came to Vietnam to perform on the Chrismast crusade of 30,000people organised by the VEF ( Vietnam Evangelical Fellowship. Agape Outreach Church , one of the members), but this year, they are not allowed to perform on the open public. I invited them to attend the evangelistic meeting at our church on Dec 12th . Praise God! There are more than 240 people attending the event and over 34 people converted to the Lord. I help them for translation to Vietnamese.
10/ All Christmas evangelistic meetings organised in provinces from the Mekong Delta, the Eas Zone to the Highland were observed by the local police and the local authorities. They ask us a lot of questions: How many people attending, what gits will we give to the local church, who support for the luch or dinner fellowship after the crusade? They follow my message attentively. Thank God, there is one thing very intersting, after the message, they come to me or to my local pastors and say “ Pastor Vinh is preaching very strongly. He is 60 years old, but looks very young of 50” Haleluja!. The topic I share this Christmas is “ The power of the Gospel of Christ” based on the Book of Romans 1:16. In Binh Long Town , Binh Phuoc Province ( East Zone), we we put a tent for over 250 people with a very big sound system. While I am speaking, the sound seems to spread over the village. Here there are about 18 converted to the Kingdom of God . Amen! We came back Saigon nearly the midnight the same day Dec 23rd .
11/ On December 22nd, 24th and 25th I preach the Gospel in Saigon at three different Agape local churches with over 500 people attending the meetings. There are not enough chairs for the people. Some of them have to sit or to stand on the outer yard We have the program for Christmas evangelism like this: A. Praise: 15” ; B Opening .Prayer 5’ ; C. Special songs and dance ( single, group or choir ) : 25’ ; D.Worship : 15’ E. Message : 30’; F Special song for altar call G. I give the altar call for non-Christians. Praise God there are 77 people converted to the Kingdom of God in the three evangelistic meetings in Saigon . In Hanoi , we organised the CEM on 29th . I bring 7 young people from Saigon to Hanoi to help the local church in Hanoi in special song and dance. One of the interesting blessing is we go to Ninh Binh Province , nearly 100 kilomiters far from Hanoi , famous for hot spring resort. The name is “ KENH GA Resort” , an island of 80,000 sqaure meters with mountains, hot springs . The church celebrate the New Year 2011 by organising the evangelistic meeting with camp fire and barbecure. The general director as well as the owner of the resort believes in the Lord Jesus 15 minutes before right on the New Year’s Eve . We pray This man of 67 years of age will be used by God and this mountain here will be the first prayer mountain in Vietnam like in Korea . Haleluja! May it be fulfilled by the will of God! In The mighty Name of jesus! Amen!
12/ In Vietnam, we have an organisation of Vietnam Evangelical Fellowship ( VEF ) of 31 denominations or groups. I was elected as a vise- president for the term 2010- 2012. This Christmas, we decided to organise a crusade of 50,000 people at the open field in Saigon on December 26th I was chosen as a pastor in charge of amount of non-Christians attending the crusade. It means I have to encourage all groups inviting people and follow up the latest numbers of people attending the crusade. We received the permission from the central government in Hanoi on December 3rd, but when we asked permission from the authority in Hochiminh City, they seemed to postpone the time until three o’clock on Sunday 26th they allowed us to organise the crusade. Can you imagine the urgent time we have to prepare everything for the crusade starting at 7:30pm that night 26th.We intended to use 6 trucks joined together as a platform, but they did not let any truck coming to the open area of 40,000 square meters where the crusade organised. Luckily, there is one truck which was already before, so we use it as a platform, 20,000 seats, and lound system arranged very fast with the speed of rocket by all pastors, church workers especiall young people. I can say we can finish everything by the power of God. We experienced a lot of difficulties: many other buses from the provinces could not come to the city, electricity was interrupted three times. Once, while the pastor was preaching, electricity was cut. God gave me a wisdom. I stood up holding my hand phone, pointing to my hand phone to make a sign to turn on the phone. What beautiful sign and wonder! Thousands of hand phones held up with light sparkling like stars in the sky. Beautiful! After the alter call, more than 2,000 people run to the platform to pray for the conversion to the the Lord Jesus. Haleluja!
III/ RESULT OF OCTOBER – DECEMBER 2010.
The total high lights from the results of the local Agape churches in ten provinces:
· 1,685 people heard the Gospel of Jesus by personnal witness, church services, evangelistic meetings .
· 460 people believed in Jesus as their saviour and their Lord.
· 65 new Christians officially received water baptism.
· 6 new cell group planted.
III/ PLAN FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS: JANUARY – MARCCH 2011.
JANUARY : 3rd : Prayer meeting ; 10 – 12th : Agape School of Ministry ( ASM ) in Saigon ; 14 – 16th : ASM in Hanoi .
FEBRUARY: 3 – 10TH : Visit the local churches on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. It’s very important for me as senior pastor. 14th : Velentine Enagelistic meeting ; 23 – 25th : ASM in Saigon
MARCH : 1st Prayer meeting ; 8 – 10th : ASM in Hanoi ; 15 – 17th : ASM in Saigon ; 25 – 30th : Mission trip to the highland.
IV/ PRAYER REQUEST:
· Please pray for my strong anointing and wisdom from the Holy Spirit and also prray for my health and safety when I drive on motorbike to mission fields, especially this Lunar New Year 2011 because this is the time I drive on a motorbike for thousands of kilometers to many places for visitation of the local churches to encourage them and bless them according to the culture of Vietnam. ( In your country, you can rest or elax on holidya, but in mine, I am busier for the visitation or evangelism )
· Pray for the provision of 900USD so that we can help the church in Ha Noi ( sister Ruth is pastoring the church ) to pay the rental three months from January to March 2011.
· Pray for the provision of the finance to be used especially for the mission fields and for the 20 year anniversary of the Agape Outreach church.
· Please pray for the fund of the church building in 2012 The church need 200,000USD to buy a land in 2012 and build a church by the end of 2012. Now we have collected the offering of 34,000USD . We pray to reach to 100,000USD by the end of this year 2011
· Pray for new churches planted in two new provinces: Soc Trang and Ninh Binh
“ Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well” ( III John 2 )
Haleluja! By the power of God and by your love, your support and your intercession, I am still under the poweful hands of God with strong anointing, good health and wisdom to go here and there to expand the Kingdom of God on this planet. May God bless you again , empower you and anoint you more and more and May God use you to support Agape Outreach Church and help me, stand behind me to fulfill the Great Command of God and to fulfill our destiny for the glory of our Father, God of Abraham, Isac and Jacob !
